Nothing Yucca about it.
bonus pic:

The flowers almost look like garlic cloves
Whoa. There is yucca all over the area I live in and I have never seen one flower before.
They also can develop fruits. I’m deciding whether to try some from my front yard.
Amazing flower.
What do they smell and taste like?
Mildly sweet and here’s a recipe: https://backyardforager.com/stuffed-yucca-blossoms-recipe/
I’ve been seeing this plant around recently and wondering what it was. I like the droopy flowers.
its in the agavoidea family, also includes agaves, thats why most of them resemble each other. this one might yucca brevifolia aka joshua tree, which have different varieties.
They look great when they flower but the rest of the year they are just a circle of pokey leaves :/
