  • imagine doing web development for a living and calling yourself a ‘coder.’

you’re writing instructions for a web browser, not a computer, pal. you fear the computer and it’s language the same way you fear a black man from the islands when you venture through a bad neighborhood.

there isn’t even a proper analogy for vibe coding because it’s so lame. imagine showing up to a jazz club and wanting to sit with a band but all you brought was your laptop with suno but everyone else is playing a real instrument.

    are you a musician?

that’s only viable for people who make 50+k a year and spend like irresponsible assholes in a reasonable cost of living area.

if you’re closer to the poverty line, frugality ain’t gonna save you unless you live with your parents.

regardless, this rhetoric is just victim blaming. people should be able to enjoy a meal out a few times a week and some beer AND own a house even if they work as a janitor.

like, give me a fucking break.

  • i’d hope you don’t get downvoted for pointing out the obvious.

people seem to think the internet is real life and forget that ‘progressive social media posters’ probably make up 1% of the population and then never leave the house on top of that. in real life, i’ve met more rabid skunks that quote oscar wilde.

  • this is a great sentiment if everyone around you is rational, intelligent and sophisticated. but they’re fucking not.

my mother terrorized my sister and i as children and everyone in the family knew about the abuse. but she’s ok.

me? i don’t get invited to the family BBQs because i experimented with psychedelics.
