I feel like we should run honeypots like this, and anyone who falls for it goes right to, like, therapy and “how not to be scammed” training.
Paid for with the money they sent.
So the whole thing is just a really effective marketing campaign for a school for identifying scams.
That… Is honestly not a bad idea!
You know, some scams are so obvious that if you fall for it really thats your fault. So really whoever actually falls for a scam like this, its your fault.
Most functioning societies have laws to protect the most vulnerable among them, and most consider being an uneducated, credulous rube to be a vulnerability. Unfortunately, many modern societies are having trouble functioning these days, leading to the predatory financial hellscape we find ourselves in.
