First off I always hated the osrs reddit community. Its nothing but a endless flow of low effort circle jerk memes, and effeicency scape group think that sucks the fun out of the game and expects everyone to play the same.

Beloved game of my childhood though, shame the project is vibe coded but I could really careless as thats just not a project for me if its ai made. Slightly more upset that the community itself called on daddy jagex to get the game removed. Jagex has historically fucked over all community projects like many HD variants, and community made clients in order to “fight botting” which they only pretend to care about stopping to save face. Bots drive up the bond economy, and are the bulk of memberships. When really they want everyone on steam client to boost numbers on a chart, or to use their official client which they can start adding services like runemetrics like runescape 3 has, so you can’t just use runelite plugins.

Jagex has been passed around like a dirty whore though all the private equity firms, including the ones who own supreme, or directly profitted off of 9/11 (happy late 9/11 Carlyle) And they where owned by a Chinese mineral mining company at some point who had no prior experiences in video games. They killed their own game in the past due to out of touch managers forcing updates like micro transactions, removing free trade/PvP, and adding evolution of combat in the game.
