      Back in my youth, we used to joke about people who said that they used Linux 6.9, because they obviously weren’t. They used Slackware 6.9 or SuSE 6.7 but didn’t understand the difference between Linux and a Linux distribution. I could never have dreamt that I’d actually live to a time where Linux 7.1 is a thing.

      EDIT: Funny sidenote: Slackware jumped directly from version 3 to 7, because other distros used higher version numbers and people kept asking the Slackware developer, why his distro was so outdated and when he would finally update it to the modern Linux v7.
