Right, everyone other than you had it worse, you are the only person who has ever know what it’s like to be poor.
I don’t take 8K vacations. I don’t take vacations at all.
And then you re-iterate every leftist bullshit tlaking about about how we just need to ‘re-edcuate’ the working classes… we must liberate them from themselves because they are so oppresssed…
and you wonder why they hate people like you, and why they don’t support your policies… because you treat them like sub human scum and you think they must be ‘elevated’ to your glorious genius.
You don’t have a moral code. You have a moral superiority complex whereby anyone who doesn’t agree with you is less than you and must be ‘fixed’.
you are every bad stereotype about leftism, especial your inability to see how awful and downright totalitarian what you are insisting is ‘right’ is. I bet you also are really mad about Nazis, and think we should mass murder anyone who is right wing because anyone who is to the right of you is a Nazi… and you don’t at all see how this makes you a nazi yourself. We just need to kill the bad people and stick the oppressed people in camps to liberate them from their ‘wrong think’ and make sure they ‘right think’ like you do.
also buddy, my wealth is also massed from my own labor… i just chose to stick in it in the bank rather than spend it.
But keep going back with the ‘no, but u’ responses. Classic armchair socialist hypocritical bullshit you are slinging here, but hey what do I know, I’m an evil oppressor who is morally bankrupt and murders babies by having a 401K or something. lol
Next is the step where you tell me I have to cleanse myself of my oppression by giving my money to you so you can use it to fight for your moral vision of a fair and equitable future…
why don’t I go donate to Hasan right now, give him $20 so that he can buy another Gucci bag while he waits for his multi-million dollar inheritance from his folks, because you know he needs that money more than I do and he certainly needs it more than some idiot uneducated working class person.
This shit flinging is nice and all but it’s not getting us anywhere. How about this, you make your case how investing doesn’t make you an awful person and if you make a solid case I’ll say I was wrong.
That’s easy, you argue with your conclusion in your premise.
It’s called begging the question, and it’s bad faith way to interact with people. It’s trolling.
and this entire exchange is you being bad faith, because well, you believe in hyperbolic nonsense that has no basis in reality, and is nothing more than a weird fetishization you have that investment is inherently evil. And just because you believe something, doesn’t mean it is true.
investment is how society exists man, it’s how any of us do anything together, but I would wager you also think society is inherently evil.
Yeah, plenty of economic history about that if you care to read up on it.
without lending and investing, societies don’t grow. reason Europe was in a ‘dark age’ for 800 years was the fact the Church forbade lending and investing, and when they did allow it, starting around 1450, what happened? The Renaissance.
Also why the Golden Age of Islam was 800-1400… when Europe didn’t allow lending and investing and the Muslim world did and vastly exceeded them in terms of cultural, scientific, and social achievements. The Renaissance in Europe was a direct result of the allowing of investment and lending.
Also why USSR and other ‘communist’ societies tended to have shitty grow and eventually economically collapsed, because they didn’t have freedom of investment. Also why China decided to start allowing and then saw themselves economically exploded and lift 100s of millions of people out of poverty…
Also why many African countries are still places of abject poverty, because there is no freedom of investment allowed in them.
You think the investing you’re doing today is the same they did in the 9th century? I thought it was obvious we were talking about stock investing (on the account of you telling me to invest in stocks), which didn’t even exist until the late 18th century.
You can’t just take some broad strokes definition of investment to make a point how a specific type of investing doesn’t make you a bad person. Had you said “take that money and go to school” that would he investing in yourself and I wouldn’t have an issue with that kind of “investment” advice. But that wasn’t the investment advice you gave.

So you argument is 3 paragraphs of nonsense followed by a single sentence argument? But I’ll address your low effort just as succinctly.
So before investing became a thing society didn’t exist?
Yeah, plenty of economic history about that if you care to read up on it.
