The Android Auto still works, but to be completely and embarassingly honest, I have had a car with bluetooth for ten years and I think I have only used it once. I’m just weird like that. I just put some tunes on a USB and its good enough.

I have an older EV that used 3G for app access and maybe other stuff I haven’t noticed. It still runs but I can’t do things like tell it to preheat/cool the cabin from my phone. Its not an issue for me personally, the car has a timer function, and I can just set it to cool down at x time.

But its interesting seeing abandoned protocols.

I’ve been wondering this myself.

I’m some sort of weirdo who likes solar panels and EV’s and thinks people should be allowed to be people no matter the color of their skin or the plumbing in their pants, which makes me some sort of commie hippie freak because I live in rural Oklahoma.

And there seems to be a lot of effort aimed at keeping people in this deep red state unaware of all that is happening, although gas prices are higher than normal here (I saw $3.79/gal this morning I think) amd groceries are getting expensive. But none of this is really mentioned. As far as the local news is concerned, there is no war in Iran, Trump has everything handled, and all is well. And a great many people here, especially old people, believe it all because that is all they see.
