Pretty sure you just have to enable hibernation and give it a file to write to? Then just set your PC to go into hibernate on idle

I kind of doubt you would have to change distros. What distro are you on now?

“New Comments” is underrated! Active is pretty good too. For my default I use Subscribed+Scaled so I don’t miss anything, but if I’m looking for engagement I use New Comments or Active. The Hot sort kinda sucks on Lemmy lol, it’s too similar to New. But OP is on PieFed, IDK how Hot is there, it uses different math.

Wow 300ms is really long in terms of game performance. For gaming they could’ve gotten the desired result with like 50ms.

I wonder what kind of workloads that number was chosen for (a lot of productivity work is constant for minutes at a time) or if it’s instead based on hardware characteristics (like if it takes more power to clock down and back up than the power used to keep it up for 300ms)
