Are they rationing the cook time too? Those bacons and tortillas could have used a minute or two to make it a tiny bit more edible…

Israel’s Hannibal Directive.
I didn’t know about this. I can see why you are saying that they are similar in a sense. (Not the part of ‘lets kill our own soldiers before they get kidnapoed’ tho).
It is an attempt to prevent citizens from becoming political pawns.
And that’s why I’m not totally against the theory. People generally are dumb as rocks - and sane people probably wouldn’t go near to those locations anyway.
Their issue for risky jobs is a different question - and you can’t argue about the point that they need their own people to report news and to do charity and rescue missions. Those are all for the country - first hand info + building goodwill both net positive for them.

I don’t disagree but I don’t like this article.
Internet is just human.
You see the negativity and the loudest people and keep forgetting about the silent majority.
Open source projects, people organizing events/ charities, communities geeking out over the same stuff, Wikipedia - basically all the human knowledge is at your fingerprints.
Scammers, abusers, margin groups, hate groups - they are all there. It is just so much easier to see the negative parts.

This is fascinating. And I don’t know what is the right way to go about it.
Should a country actually restrict and punish their citizens?
It feels double edged sword - rescue missions, geopolitics, hostage situations - can be mostly avoided.
It is kinda being a parent that forbids kids from doing stupid stuff … But when those kids are adults, that’s a different question.

I think eventually they will be able to.
Let’s be conservative and say 10-15 years?

No, I agree with you. Llms are not for this. And we can be both thankful and disappointed at the sme time about it :). AGI will be abterror to see. Not in a sense of how they will kill us, but in a sense of how fast big corpo will.

This proves that they will replace everyone - their only “mistake” that the technology is not there YET.

About 70 beds, each filled with at least 5,000 redworms, hold layers of food and crop waste mixed with cow dung that the worms break down over six weeks, to create vermicompost.
Multiple studies have shown that this compost can improve soil structure, organic matter, and water retention.
Sounds great! Some good news :)

$20 isn’t just $20 in most countries around the world.
For some it is more than they can make in a month. Tho those people probably never seen the Internet.

How the hell is this not neglect?

Attachment A asks Microsoft to return that identifier for every account that was a member of, or communicated with any of the three listed Discord servers between June 1, 2026 and the present, in addition to the three handles named in the filings.
I haven’t looked in the directions of these servers… and I feel itchy.

Wow! Ask and shall receive! Thank you!

SteamDB - it shows when was the last update, if the game is likely abandoned - and other good stuff.

This would be useful as a browser extension - just like the steam one.
No one or not manh will look and seafch before doing an impulse buy. But a ln extension would make it visible right away.

There is always a switchbot.
It literally presses or releases a button at given times. You program it with BT and no wifi needed.

I mean now they force a lot of pregnancies to go through … And they will just make it more likely for the baby to die?
I feel some moral dilemma somewhere.

Fascinating. Wonder if anyone else will get home from the rainbow road.
It is fascinating how it reflects on the human mind. Extreme sports, risk taking and chasing some fame.
With the family left behind, I am not even sure they know what they were really risking. Being alive and dead is way more than a binary equation.
This is just brain dead on so many levels. “I can’t even”…
