What a fantastic article.

What a fantastic article.

Epic charges less than 30%. I think it was 10-15%. That’s their whole selling point. And when I say it is their whole selling point, I do genuinely mean it, because the platform and software itself are pretty bad compared to Steam.
Parliament holds the full sovereignty of the United Kingdom. So it could pass a law that bars people found responsible for misconduct from serving as an MP. It could also pass a law saying “Bobby Sands Nigel Farage is a criminal and criminals must not be MPs.” But like all acts, the question is whether it can do that without being seen as undemocratic. Parliament could pass a law tomorrow that abolishes democracy and turns Parliament into an appointed body. It’s never a question of whether Parliament can do it, but whether Parliament should do it.
And in full respect, I do think that Farage is a criminal and a fascist and should not be an MP. But my opinion does not matter, and neither does yours.
Remember, this man is the leader of a political party which until recently, if the polls are to be believed, was slated to govern after the next election. Can you disqualify him, regardless of his scandals and crimes, without seeming undemocratic? If the public wants to support a criminal, is it undemocratic to ban them? If you do ban him, but do not abolish democracy, will that just cause him to become even more popular? If so, will his successor actually abolish democracy when they get into office?
Putting Adolf Hitler in prison did not kill his movement. It made him even more popular, and he killed democracy in the Weimar Republic. Prosecuting Donald Trump did not kill his movement. It made him even more popular, and he is killing democracy in America. What do you think banning Nigel Farage would do?

Archive-quality hard disk drives are like $50/TB

It’s possible that 50 TB is just the portion that they could not recover from other backups. But even then, prior to the 80s and 90s, the archives would have been physical film, and any digitised versions of the footage could have possibly been just simple MP4 (or other format) video files, which at 1080p 24 FPS would be barely 1 MB/s.

“loose” is the opposite of tight.
“lose” (one O) is the opposite of win.

OP did message me, it’s in the mail!

Are you in the US? I bought this exact mouse years ago but I quit using it after one day because I didn’t like it’s shape. It’s just been in the drawer since then. If you want it, DM me and I’ll send it to you for free.
Dusty, but I think it still works!

I never understood why console players always get so worked up about exclusives. People say the stupidest most absolutely nonsensical things like “the PS5 has no games”. What the hell do you mean?? The PS5 has lots of games, you’re just salty that other people can play those games too. Why can’t people just be happy that more people can enjoy the games? They have to have that feeling of superiority I suppose
