Jellyfin and Plex don’t offer as many features. I used Plex for a long time but ultimately it’s untrustable proprietary trash. And, when I last tried Jellyfin, it doesn’t do games, IPTV, music, youtube, other addons, etc. It also seemed kind of buggy/slow.

(I just use qbittorent for torrenting.)

I think this is true of open source and open science more generally.

In the long run there’s no way that the actual desires of humanity can be out-developed by an extremely privileged group of front-runners, rent-seekers, enshittifiers, etc. (eg. proprietary software)…
