  • Oh yeah, RAWG is just a game recommendation platform but it’s great because it’s completely community managed, meaning that if there are games missing or games that have missing/incorrect information, you can add/change it yourself. It’s also not limited to just one system or app store, in fact, the very first game I ever reviewed on RAWG was Super Mario 64.

Also, for some reason your comment reminded me that I’m aware of Moby Games, which is just a game database that’s somewhat similar to but quite different from GameFAQs, you’ll understand if you use it. But I’ve added it to my website and, based on how I’ve been scoring these websites, it has a 14/15 score. I can’t believe I forgot about Moby Games since it’s such a solid platform for finding games to play and I’ve had an account there for several years now. Obviously, RAWG is still better overall but Moby Games will be better for when I’m trying to find retro games to play, since RAWG mostly just recommends me newer games and I sometimes like to play older games.

  • Both GOG and Steam are tied near the top of the list with 9/10 scores.

But I should mention that since the chart was made specifically for my own personal use, it may not be the best for public use (which is why I haven’t posted it online anywhere). If I am to have it posted anywhere, I’d want to make some adjustments like giving certain categories more weight and expanding some others, maybe even add more. I probably wont though, as I’m just one person and I know for sure that my own biases will get in the way.

  • I guess that’s cool but Epic Games will still be at the bottom of my list of game/app stores that I use.

For context, I’ve been using a chart of game/app store with scores based on multiple categories and sorting them into a list to keep track of which ones I should be prioritizing. With on how I currently have them rated, the Epic Games Store will go from a 1/10 to a 4/10, which means that it’s still at the bottom of my list.
