they will slowly introduce it(AI/W11 or even 12 in the future) over the years and making un-opt outable.
Microsoft will let you full opt out
Yeah, it’s my computer (though I don’t run windows). If i want to do something, who the fuck are microsoft to tell me I am allowed to do something?
Until they don’t. Cause that’s what they always do
probably due to the amount of pushback from users getting automatically opted-in with ‘backup’ enabled, and then immediately running out of ‘free’ space… because 5 gigabytes of space isn’t very much at all.
Adding to the chorus: switched to Linux. No regrets. Plays all my video games, watches my media, does my coding and office work.
Too late, changed all my family’s computers to Linux. Even my 70 years old dad, who learned to use computers with Windows 95, prefer it to Windows now 😆.
My methods may have been a bit underhanded, but it worked flawlessly 😆
this is how you know they’re afraid of Linux
But they are also lying. They are not going to let people fully opt out of the one feature which has literally been the foundation of their entire business model for a decade.
Truly finally shooketh
I see you’re using language from the time it was first announced that “this is the year of the Linux desktop!”.
The true true.
Until Windows 12 brings it back. In the interem Windows 11 now ask you every 15 minutes if you want to sign up for OneDrive, probably.
Or the next windows 11 feature update
Oh, you won’t be able to store anything on local storage, just your personal SharePoint site through OneDrive. The one drive you’ll ever need! If you’re not online, your computer will wait until you are.
Too little too late. I’ve no windows machines left and deleted my microsoft account.
Will they finally allow local accounts again
Be me, watching microsoft fuckery for 100 years. *roll eyes*
what saints!
unfortunately I’ve opted myself out without their graceful permission a few years ago
Next week….
