But I’ve played video games like Civ and Crusader Kings and heroes of iron where I start reading nation/empire descriptions, start googling and reading Wikipedia, start reading on random shit like WW1 no man’s land and I’m fascinated by all the craziness in history. The Ottoman Empire was fucking massive and had sultans, and it wasn’t even that fucking long ago!
